TEHRAN – The water polo technical committee of Iran Swimming Federation dismissed Stanislav Pivovarov as water polo coach.

Following poor results in the 14th FINA Men's Water Polo World Cup, the Iranian officials axed Pivovarov from his post.
Iran came last among eight participants in the competitions held in Oradea, Romania in late July.
The Russian had penned a one-year contract with the Iran Amateur Swimming Federation (IASF) in April.
